About Counselling
Individual Counselling
Counselling is a talking therapy that offers a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings with a non judgemental, genuine and empathetic therapist. It is a process that can help you gain insight, develop self awareness and make meaningful changes in your life.
Counselling can be helpful if you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or as though something is holding you back from reaching your potential. It may support you if you are experiencing anxiety, low self esteem or depression, or if you would like space to process past or recent experiences, including trauma. Counselling can also help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, including how your attachment style may be influencing your relationships with others.
The therapist’s role is to listen, support and walk alongside you as you navigate emotional difficulties. Rather than offering advice, counselling aims to empower you to develop autonomy, self trust and clarity, enabling you to find the path that feels right for you and improve your overall quality of life.
Couples’ Counselling
Couples’ counselling, also known as relationship counselling, is a form of talking therapy designed to help couples explore and work through difficulties within their relationship. While conflict exists in most relationships, when challenges begin to feel overwhelming or persistent, couples’ counselling can offer valuable support.
I provide a warm, supportive and non judgemental space where both partners can feel heard and understood. By identifying and clarifying the concerns that have brought you to counselling, we can begin to explore patterns within the relationship and work towards greater understanding, communication and connection.
Couples’ counselling requires commitment and openness from both partners, but it can be a powerful and life changing process. If you have any questions or would like to find out whether couples’ counselling might be right for you, please feel free to get in touch.
Why I became a counsellor
I am passionate about counselling and psychology and knew from a young age that I wanted to work as a professional therapist. I am deeply interested in people and in understanding what shapes them and their experiences. I am also committed to life long learning and undertake regular continuing professional development to ensure my practice remains thoughtful, informed and responsive.
I believe that everyone has the potential to become the best version of themselves when the right conditions are in place. At times, life experiences and circumstances can create obstacles that lead us away from the path we might have hoped for. Finding a way forward can feel challenging to navigate alone. I offer a supportive and collaborative space, walking alongside you as you work towards greater understanding, fulfilment and a sense of direction in your life.
